How to draw Snail on a Stroll

A happy snail sliding through the grass. You will learn to draw a spiral that starts small in the middle and grows round and round to the edge of the shell, then follow it again with a stripe of colour.

How to draw Snail on a Stroll

What you need

  • Paper Plain printer paper is perfect.
  • Felt-tip markers Washable ones, with a black for outlines.
  • Crayons Wax crayons or oil pastels.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: A round shell

    Draw a big circle for the snail’s shell, a little left of the middle.

  2. Step 2: A spiral

    Start in the middle and go round and round, bigger and bigger, to the edge.

  3. Step 3: A long soft body

    Draw a long body along the bottom, with a round head at the front.

  4. Step 4: Eyes on stalks

    Add two long stalks on the head with a dot on each. Then a smile!

    Draw little tufts of grass on the ground, pointy like tiny mountains.

    Colour the shell purple, the body yellow and the grass green.

    Follow the spiral with a pink stripe, all the way round. Add a rosy cheek.
