How to draw Friendly Fish

What you need

  • Paper Plain printer paper is perfect.
  • Felt-tip markers Washable ones, with a black for outlines.
  • Crayons Wax crayons or oil pastels.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: An oval body

    Draw a big oval lying on its side. This is your fish’s body.

  2. Step 2: A triangle tail

    Add a big triangle tail at the back end of the oval.

  3. Step 3: Head line and fins

    A curve for the head, a fin on top, and a little fin behind the curve.

  4. Step 4: A friendly face

    In the head, draw a big round eye with a dark dot, and a happy smile.

    Now fill the body behind the head with rows of little U’s. These are scales!

  6. Step 6: Colour your fish

    Colour the body orange and the tail and fins blue-green. Leave the eye white.

    Three round bubbles float up from the mouth: small, bigger, then biggest.
